Hoshana Rabbah is the seventh and last day of Sukkot, a final extension of the High Holy Days. We gather for Hoshanot and seven hakafot with our lulav and etrog, followed by the striking of the willow branches (aravot).
Tradition teaches that the judgment for the coming year is finalized on Hoshana Rabbah. It is a final prayer for rain, blessing, and a good year ahead.
May your prayers be answered! Chag sameach!
Services at Temple Beth Israel of Highland Park are led by Rabbi/Cantorial Soloist Zach Golden with Rabbi Henry Hollander of Der Nister, and Rabbi David Kasher of TBI (Hoshanot).
